Offered en primeur, this wine is available to secure now while still maturing at the estate, ahead of its official release. Purchasing at this stage provides early access to a fully declared vintage at a favourable price, with the wine shipped once it is ready for delivery.

In Bond (IB): Wine stored in a bonded warehouse before UK duty and VAT have been paid. These taxes are only payable when the wine is withdrawn, making IB purchases more cash-efficient and ideal for cellaring or trading.

A newly declared Vintage Port from one of the Douro’s most historic houses, the 2024 release forms part of a fully declared vintage, marking a significant year for the region and a return to a classic declaration style.

Tasting Note
Deep and intensely coloured, the nose shows vibrant blackcurrant, blackberry and plum, lifted by floral notes of violets and hints of dark chocolate and spice. The palate is powerful yet finely balanced, with concentrated dark fruit framed by firm, ripe tannins and fresh acidity. Layers of cassis, liquorice and subtle minerality build towards a long, structured finish, promising excellent development in bottle.

Vintage
The 2024 vintage has been widely declared across the Douro, confirming it as a year of real significance. Conditions through the growing season delivered excellent fruit quality, with both ripeness and freshness retained. The resulting wines show classic structure, depth and definition, with the balance required for long-term ageing.
