Description
the 2011 Paul Cluver is a wine that expresses clarity of fruit and mineral precision from one of the country’s pioneering family‑run producers. Established to highlight the unique Elgin terroir, Paul Cluver has long been recognised for elegant, expressive wines that balance freshness with varietal purity.
Pale straw with a hint of green along the rim, the wine shows clean clarity and youthful vibrancy despite age.
The bouquet is fresh and expressive, with lifted aromas of citrus blossom, lime zest and green apple, complemented by hints of granadilla and grapefuit and a cool mineral seam that reflects the shale‑rich Elgin soils.
On the palate, the wine is crisp yet textured, with flavours of lemon curd, green pear and subtle floral notes, underpinned by refreshing acidity and a saline‑tinged finish that lingers with finesse.
