Quevedo Alegra Reserve Red 2023, Douro DOC

The Quevedo Alegra Red 2023 is a vibrant and expressive Douro DOC wine, showcasing the region’s ability to produce reds of both depth and freshness. Crafted from traditional Portuguese varieties, it reflects the balance between ripe fruit, floral elegance and subtle oak influence that defines modern Douro winemaking.

The nose is pronounced and inviting, with aromas of wild blackberry, cherry and ripe black plum. Floral notes of violet, characteristic of Touriga Nacional, add lift and refinement, while gentle oak ageing contributes layers of clove and black pepper, enhancing the wine’s aromatic complexity.

On the palate, the wine is dry and well-balanced, with firm yet well-integrated tannins supporting a medium-bodied structure. The fruit profile remains generous and clearly defined, while the oak sits neatly in the background, adding depth without overpowering the wine’s natural character.
