Description
Quevedo 20 Year Old Tawny Port (2006 Release)
The Quevedo 20 Year Old Tawny Port is a beautifully mature and complex expression, showcasing the depth and elegance that comes from extended ageing in oak. it reflects a carefully selected blend of older wines, delivering both richness and refinement.
The nose is intense and layered, with aromas of dried fig, apricot and toasted almond, complemented by notes of caramel, honey and orange peel. Subtle hints of spice and vanilla add further complexity, giving the wine a rich and inviting aromatic profile.
On the palate, the wine is smooth and full-bodied, with a silky texture and beautifully integrated sweetness. Flavours of dried fruit, toffee and roasted nuts are balanced by a fine acidity, which brings freshness and precision to the wine despite its depth.
The finish is long, elegant and persistent, with lingering notes of caramel, spice and citrus peel. A superb 20 Year Old Tawny, offering both immediate indulgence and a refined, harmonious style.
🍽️ Food Pairing
Excellent served slightly chilled as a digestif or paired with nut-based desserts, crème brûlée or aged cheeses, where its richness and freshness create a perfect balance.

Aged in old 110-gallon barrels, this Port is at the sweet spot where fruit has almost disappeared and the mature old wood, spice and acidity come through along with hints of spirit. It is ready to drink. Roger Voss

Blended by Cláudia.
Pale-mid tawny. Beautifully mellow nose of Christmas cake, old tobacco, walnut fudge and subtle fig notes – really classic tawny aromatics and without any spirity character. An appealing sweet intensity of dried red fruit, cinnamon and dark chocolate on the palate, with a molasses twist through the finish. Supple, suave and fine-grained. A hint more length would take this to greatness. (TJ) JancisRobinson.com
