Description

The 1991 vintage in Rioja was widely regarded as one of the best of the decade. Conditions produced balanced, structured wines with the depth to age gracefully. Many Gran Reservas from this year have matured beautifully, showing both elegance and complexity after more than 30 years in bottle.

Tasting Note
This 1991 Campo Viejo Gran Reserva displays a garnet colour with a brick rim. The nose is expressive and mature, offering dried cherry, fig, cedar, vanilla, and gentle leather notes. On the palate it is smooth and harmonious, with softened tannins, layers of dried red fruit, earthy spice, and hints of tobacco. The finish is long and savoury, showcasing the finesse of well-aged Rioja.
