Description

This Gattinara Riserva shows a deep garnet colour with pronounced brick-orange rim. The nose is richly tertiary, with dried cherries, leather, tobacco, forest floor, and subtle hints of truffle and dried herbs. On the palate it is medium to full-bodied, with silky yet structured tannins carrying flavours of stewed red fruits, leather, and a touch of cocoa. The finish is long, savoury, and elegant, reflecting the complexity of over six decades of ageing.

Decanting: Stand upright for 2–3 days to allow sediment to settle. Decant gently through a fine strainer and aerate 1–2 hours before serving at 16–18°C. Fragile corks are common; strain any fragments when pouring.
