Taylor’s 2024 Vintage Port
The Smallest Ever Taylor’s Vintage Declaration

About En Primeur
Offered en primeur, this wine is available to secure now while still maturing at the estate, ahead of its official release. Purchasing at this stage provides early access to a fully declared vintage at a favourable price, with the wine shipped once it is ready for delivery.

In Bond (IB): Wine stored in a bonded warehouse before UK duty and VAT have been paid. These taxes are only payable when the wine is withdrawn, making IB purchases more cash-efficient and ideal for cellaring or trading.

Taylor’s has announced the declaration of its 2024 Vintage Port, marking the house’s first classic declaration in six years and the smallest release in Taylor’s history. Produced from a small harvest of exceptional quality, the 2024 vintage captures the hallmark Taylor style of elegance, precision, structure, and longevity.

Deep opaque purple-black in colour with a fine amethyst rim, the nose is characteristically refined and expressive, revealing layers of dense blackcurrant and woodland berry fruit intertwined with delicate floral aromas of violets and rose petals. Subtle herbal nuances add further complexity, while beneath the wine’s understated elegance lies remarkable energy and intensity.

On the palate, the wine is tightly structured with lean, sinewy tannins wrapped around vibrant, beautifully defined dark fruit flavours. Fresh herbal notes and precise acidity bring lift and freshness, leading to a long, poised finish that perfectly reflects Taylor’s signature balance of stamina, refinement, and restrained power. Built for extended ageing, the 2024 Taylor’s Vintage Port already displays extraordinary harmony and precision while promising decades of development in the cellar.

The 2024 growing season benefited from renewed winter rainfall, moderate summer conditions, and cooler nights during harvest, allowing for slow and even ripening with excellent phenolic maturity. Traditional foot treading in granite lagares and co-fermentation techniques contributed to the wine’s intensity, freshness, and complexity.
