1992 Warre Late Bottled Vintage Port

Warre’s is one of the oldest British Port houses, renowned for its elegant and refined style. The 1992 Late Bottled Vintage Port reflects the warmth and generosity of the vintage, offering depth of fruit combined with Warre’s characteristic balance and finesse.

    Tasting Notes:
Deep ruby in colour with only slight development at the rim, the nose is expressive and inviting, showing aromas of ripe blackberry, blackcurrant and dark cherry layered with notes of violets, cedar and gentle spice. On the palate it is rich yet poised, with supple tannins and a smooth, rounded texture. Flavours of plum, cassis and dark chocolate are complemented by hints of liquorice and dried herbs. The finish is long and harmonious, with freshness that keeps the wine lively and well balanced.

    Serving & Food Pairing:
Unlike many Vintage Ports, Late Bottled Vintage Ports are often filtered and ready to drink without the need for decanting, though light aeration can enhance complexity. Serve slightly below room temperature. A natural partner to blue cheeses, chocolate desserts or roasted nuts.

    Summary:
A well-structured and approachable LBV from Warre’s, offering generous fruit, smooth texture and classic house elegance. Drinking well now, it provides excellent value and a rewarding introduction to mature Port.
