Description
This mature Barbera presents a deep ruby colour with garnet edges, showing the elegance that comes with over five decades of careful ageing. On the nose, aromas of ripe red cherries, plum, and hints of dried herbs are complemented by subtle notes of leather, tobacco, and soft spice. The palate is smooth and balanced, with gentle tannins supporting flavours of stewed red fruits, a touch of orange zest, and hints of forest floor. The finish is long, harmonious, and lingering, reflecting the wine’s refined character and Barbera’s naturally vibrant acidity.
Decanting: Stand the bottle upright for 24 hours to settle sediment. Decant carefully through a fine strainer and allow 1–2 hours of breathing. Serve at 16–18°C to fully enjoy its complex aromas and elegant structure.
