Description

Barbera d’Alba DOC 1967 Ricardo Ceretto is a historic red wine from Piedmont, Italy, produced in the Langhe region from Barbera grapes. This bottling reflects a traditional, long-aged style typical of mid-20th century Piedmontese winemaking, focused on extended bottle maturation and evolving complexity over decades.

Tasting Notes:
Deep garnet with brick and orange reflections. Aromas of dried plum, cherry, leather, tobacco, dried herbs, and earthy spice, with subtle balsamic and forest floor notes.
Medium-bodied palate with softened tannins, still-present acidity, and mature structure. Long, smooth finish with tertiary notes of dried fruit, spice, and mineral undertones.

Serving & Food Pairing:
Serve at 16–18°C, with gentle decanting if necessary to remove sediment.

Pairs well with braised meats, roasted pork, game, mushroom dishes, truffle risotto, polenta, and aged cheeses.

Producer:
Ricardo Ceretto is associated with traditional Piedmontese winemaking, producing classic expressions of Barbera and Nebbiolo with a focus on structure, balance, and long bottle aging in the Langhe region.
