Description
This Barolo displays a deep garnet colour with amber highlights, reflecting over five decades of careful ageing. The nose is complex and expressive, offering dried red cherries, rose petal, sweet spice, and subtle earthy notes of leather, forest floor, and tobacco. On the palate, it is silky yet structured, with softened tannins supporting flavours of candied cherry, orange zest, hints of truffle, and cedar. The finish is long, layered, and elegant, showcasing the wine’s remarkable depth and classic Nebbiolo character.
Decanting: Stand the bottle upright for 24 hours to allow sediment to settle. Decant slowly through a fine strainer and let it breathe for 1–2 hours. Serve at 16–18°C to fully reveal its complex aromas and refined structure.
