Description

Bramaterra 1966 Berteletti is a historic red wine from Piedmont, Italy, produced by the traditional estate Berteletti in Alto Piemonte. Bramaterra is a classic Nebbiolo-based wine, traditionally blended with local grapes such as Croatina and Vespolina, grown on volcanic and porphyritic soils that contribute structure, acidity, and a distinctive mineral character.

The 1966 bottling reflects a traditional winemaking approach, with long aging in large neutral oak casks and extended bottle maturation.

Tasting Notes:
Brick-garnet color with amber reflections. Dried cherry, rose petals, red currant, leather, tobacco, and earthy forest floor. Light truffle and spice notes.
Medium body, softened tannins, still-present acidity. Long, elegant, fading finish.

Serving & Food Pairing:
Serve at 16–18°C, with light decanting if needed.

Pairs with roasted meats, braised dishes, game, mushroom-based recipes, and aged cheeses.

Producer:
Berteletti is a traditional Alto Piemonte producer known for classic wines from volcanic soils, particularly Bramaterra and Gattinara, with a focus on traditional winemaking and long-aged expressions of Nebbiolo-based blends.
