The 2005 Burmester Colheita Port is a rich, complex tawny port with a deep amber appearance and golden rim. Its nose is rich and aromatic, with dried fruits, caramel, toffee, and roasted nuts. The palate is smooth and velvety, with a well-balanced sweetness. The finish is long and satisfying, with lingering flavours of dried fruit, caramel, and oak.

Serving & Food Pairing:
Colheita Ports are ready-to drink and do not require decanting. Best enjoyed slightly chilled at 12-13ºC they will work wonders if pairing with treacle tart, crème brulee or nut based desserts, like hazelnut praline. Once opened colheita Port should be stored in a fridge and should be consumed within 2-3 months.

H.Burmester & Cia. is one of the leading Port wine producers in Portugal. Founded in 1750 by Henry Burmester and John Nash, it has a long history of producing high-quality Ports. The company is located in Vila Nova de Gaia, across the Douro River from Porto, and is known for its range of Port wines, including Tawny, Ruby, Vintage, and Colheita Ports. Burmester Ports are highly regarded for their quality and consistency, and the company has a reputation for producing some of the finest Ports in the Douro region. They are particularly known for their Colheita Ports, which are single-vintage Tawny Ports aged in oak barrels for an extended period before being bottled.

How to store your colheita Port:
This bottle should be kept upright and protected from direct sunlight and heat. If stored correctly, Colheita Ports will keep for decades in the bottle. Over time, it is natural that a little sediment will form at the bottom of a bottle of colheita Port wine.
