It showcases a complex and powerful nose, dominated by the strong presence of the dried fruits and spices, combined with a subtle and refined note of vanilla. In the mouth it is concentrated, silky and engaging. A wine with great structure, great character and an apotheotic finish.

The NV 30 Years Tawny Port was bottled in 2016 with 138 grams of residual sugar and a bar-top cork. This is on the lighter side in the mid-palate, but the finish is gloriously sweet, fresh and juicy, filled with flavor and able to make your mouth water. Let me say that there are plenty this issue that have more depth, more power or more complexity, but few will draw that first "oooh" reaction as quickly. This just tastes great. It's the "come hither" entrant of this report, hard to resist. It is always suave, sophisticated and refined. It didn't always satisfy my urge for maximum complexity, but just for its spicy sex appeal, I have to lean up on this a little. As always, these will last indefinitely, barring cork failures, but they are not really meant to be held.
