Description

This mature Cabernet reveals a restrained, Old World profile shaped by age and careful evolution. The nose is immediately savory, offering dried blackcurrant, stewed plum, and blackberry compote, layered with cedarwood, graphite, and cigar box. With time in the glass, tertiary aromas of dried leaves, forest floor, leather, and gentle balsamic tones emerge, accompanied by hints of bay leaf, black tea, and faded violet. On the palate, the wine is soft and resolved, its once-firm structure now fully mellowed. The fruit has moved into dried and savory territory—black cherry skin, cassis, and prune—supported by subtle earthy notes and a fine mineral edge. Tannins are completely integrated, silky and unobtrusive, contributing to a smooth, harmonious mouthfeel.

A preserved line of acidity provides balance and freshness, lifting the wine and giving definition to its tertiary complexity. Flavors of tobacco leaf, dried herbs, cocoa, and spice unfold gradually, lending depth without heaviness. The overall impression is one of elegance and restraint rather than power.

The finish is gently persistent, marked by cedar, leather, and fading dark fruit.
