Description
Henriot Blanc de Blancs Champagne
Non-Vintage Brut – 100% Chardonnay – Reims, Champagne
Vintage & Background
Founded in 1808, Champagne Henriot remains one of the few historic, family-owned houses in the region, celebrated for its precision, elegance, and Chardonnay-driven style. Blanc de Blancs is Henriot’s signature expression, crafted exclusively from Premier and Grand Cru Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims. The wine is aged for around four years on the lees – far longer than the minimum – to build texture and complexity while retaining its hallmark finesse.
Appearance & Nose
Pale, brilliant gold with fine, persistent mousse. The bouquet is delicate yet expressive, opening with white blossom, citrus zest, and fresh brioche, followed by notes of green apple, chalk, and hazelnut. Subtle hints of acacia honey and lemon cream emerge with aeration.
Palate & Texture
Elegant and pure, the palate is driven by crystalline Chardonnay character. Lively citrus and orchard fruits are wrapped in layers of pastry, toasted almond, and mineral finesse. The mousse is refined and silky, balanced by bright acidity and a long, focused finish with saline and chalky persistence.
Serving & Cellaring
Serve chilled (8–10 °C) in a tulip glass to enhance aromatics. Beautiful on release but capable of developing added depth over 5–7 years.
Food Pairing
An excellent apéritif, it also pairs beautifully with oysters, shellfish, smoked salmon, and light poultry dishes.

Reviews
***95-100 Points Falstaff***
Incredible and immediate florality hovers above notes of ripe lemon peel and luminous Mirabelle plum. The palate presents purest chalkiness, inherent coolness and soothing, salty depth. Wonderful.
***16.5/20 Points Jancis Robinson***
This constitutes 20% of Henriot's production and contains 12 crus representing 'lots of different facets of Chardonnay' according to chef de cave Alice Tétienne, who says she is seeking 'maturity but freshness'. Richer Chardonnays than usual in 2016, which provided the base wine with 32% reserve wine. This was originally called Blanc Souverain.
More focused nose and quite delicately textured. Quite long and frisky. Tastes fresher than the Brut Souverain.
