The 1998 Chateau Batailley has turned out well, Bell pepper nose, later on cassis and blackcurrant , forest floor; very balanced on the palate, herbs and spices; some eucalyptus and mince; tannins completely resolved; seems to be at peak now; long finish; superb claret. VWP May 2019 TC
