Château Clerc Milon 1987, Pauillac 5ème Cru Classé

The 1987 Château Clerc Milon is a mature and characterful Pauillac, offering a classic expression of this Fifth Growth in a lighter, more evolved vintage. Now fully mature, it provides a nuanced and approachable claret for immediate enjoyment.

The nose is expressive and gently developed, with aromas of redcurrant, dried cherry and plum, layered with notes of cedar, tobacco and earthy undertones. Subtle hints of leather and spice add further complexity, reflecting its time in bottle.

On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with softened tannins and a smooth, integrated structure. The fruit is delicate but persistent, supported by savoury notes of forest floor and dried herbs, typical of a mature Left Bank Bordeaux.

The finish is elegant and resolved, with lingering notes of cedar and spice. Drinking now, this is a refined and authentic Pauillac that will appeal to those who appreciate mature Bordeaux with subtlety and charm.
