Description

The 2009 Château Quinault L’Enclos is a richly textured and beautifully expressive Saint-Émilion from one of Bordeaux’s outstanding vintages. The wine opens with an inviting bouquet of ripe black cherry, plum and raspberry compote, lifted by notes of sweet spice, mocha and a touch of dried rose. The aromatics are warm, generous and immediately seductive.

On the palate, the 2009 is plush and supple, delivering a silky wave of ripe red and black fruit wrapped in polished tannins. Flavours of blackberry, cherry liqueur and dark cocoa are complemented by hints of vanilla, cedar and soft baking spice. The wine’s natural richness is balanced by well-judged acidity, giving it both weight and freshness.

With time in the glass, the wine reveals deeper nuances—subtle earthiness, tobacco leaf, warm stones and a touch of truffle. The texture remains smooth and elegant throughout, with the mature tannins melting into a long, harmonious finish marked by lingering dark fruit and gentle spice.
