Description

Château Beaumont 2009, Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois

The 2009 Château Beaumont is a rich and generous Haut-Médoc, reflecting the warmth and ripeness of this outstanding vintage. As a well-regarded Cru Bourgeois, it offers excellent value and classic Bordeaux character with a more approachable, fruit-driven style.

The nose is expressive and inviting, with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and ripe plum, layered with notes of cedar, sweet spice and a hint of vanilla from oak ageing. There is a warmth and depth to the aromatics, typical of the 2009 vintage.

On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with ripe, rounded tannins and a generous core of dark fruit. The balance between richness and structure gives the wine both immediate appeal and a sense of depth, while the oak is well integrated.

The finish is smooth and persistent, with lingering notes of cassis and spice. Drinking well now, this is a crowd-pleasing Bordeaux with both substance and charm.

🍽️ Food Pairing

Ideal with roast beef, lamb or grilled meats, as well as hearty dishes where its richness and structure complement bold flavours.

Château Beaumont has a history dating back to 1824 and remains one of the most consistent estates of the Haut-Médoc. With its large vineyard holdings on well-drained gravel, it consistently produces wines that are approachable in youth yet capable of developing complexity with age.

How to store your Wine
Store lying on its side in a cool, dark cellar at 10–14°C. While the 1998 is now mature, it will remain enjoyable for another 3–5 years if cellared well.
