Description

Appearance
Deep ruby with slight garnet evolution at the rim — entering early maturity.

Nose
Classic Right Bank profile: ripe plum, black cherry, mocha, liquorice, roasted herbs and light earthy tones. Oak is present but integrated.

Palate
Medium- to full-bodied, with rounded texture and accessible structure. Dark fruit core (plum, cassis) supported by moderate tannins and fresh acidity. Less density than top Pomerol, but balanced and expressive.

Finish
Firm, slightly drying finish with notes of coffee, spice and black fruit — good persistence but not monumental.

Château Domaine de l'Église is a prestigious wine estate nestled in the Pomerol appellation of Bordeaux, France. With a history dating back centuries, the estate is celebrated for its commitment to producing exceptional red wines. Encompassing approximately 4 hectares, the vineyard benefits from a unique terroir of gravel and clay soils, which contribute to the cultivation of Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes. Château Domaine de l'Église's wines are renowned for their elegance, complexity, and aging potential, with rich fruit flavors, supple tannins, and a distinct sense of place. Under the guidance of the Durantou family, who have owned the estate since the early 20th century, Château Domaine de l'Église continues to uphold its reputation for excellence, crafting wines that embody the finest traditions of Pomerol winemaking.
