Description

The 1912 Cockburn Vintage Port is a magnificent and historic example from one of the most celebrated Port houses, produced during a golden era for the Douro. Now over 110 years old, this wine represents the epitome of aged Vintage Port—crafted in traditional granite lagares, bottled after two years in cask, and then allowed to slumber for more than a century, developing profound complexity and elegance. Bottles from this vintage are exceptionally rare, making it a true collector’s prize and an unforgettable tasting experience.

In the glass, it would likely display a deep tawny core fading to a green-tinged amber rim, a hallmark of venerable Port. The bouquet is layered and enticing, with aromas of fig, medjool date, and sultana mingling with caramelised walnut, molasses, and hints of cocoa and leather.
