When bottled in 1969, this Verdelho was estimated to be from the turn of the 20th Century so now it is over 100 years old!

Tasted on 15th September 2022 at B&F lunch, ,the commemorative Verdelho bottled in 1969 delivers exquisite complex aromas of dried peel, clear honey, pine resin, vanilla and figs. The age has given the wine mellowed tannins a full-bodied balanced mouthfeel that has an elegant texture. The acidity cuts across the sweetness to produce a beautiful, concentrated wine with a fine depth at the core and a long, bittersweet and saline finish. An exquistite wine and a great find. TC VWP.
