Description

This 1997 Nebbiolo exhibits the elegant maturity of a well-aged Piedmont wine. The nose is complex, with aromas of dried rose, tar, cherry compote, truffle, and hints of leather and tobacco. On the palate it is medium-bodied, with softened, fine-grained tannins, balanced acidity, and flavours of dried red fruit, cedar, and earthy spice. The finish is long, savoury, and lingering, reflecting the wine’s classic aged Nebbiolo character.

Serve at 17–18 °C (63–65 °F) after a gentle decant of 30–45 minutes. Pairs beautifully with braised meats, roasted game, mushroom risottos, or aged hard cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano.
