    The 2008 Palmer Port Colheita (50cl) is a finely crafted single-harvest Tawny Port, aged in seasoned oak casks to reveal the elegance and character of the 2008 vintage. Presented in a half-litre format, it is perfect for sharing or enjoying over several occasions. Silky, balanced and expressive, this Colheita is ready to drink now but will continue to evolve gracefully. Enjoy now or cellar until 2033+.


    Tasting Notes:
    Amber in colour with golden highlights. The nose reveals aromas of dried figs, orange peel, toasted hazelnuts and a hint of honey. On the palate, layers of caramel, raisin, roasted almond and sweet spice are lifted by lively acidity, creating freshness and balance. The finish is smooth, nutty and persistent with notes of dried fruits and oak.


    Serving Tips & Storage
    Colheita Ports are bottled ready to drink and do not require decanting. Best served slightly chilled (12–14°C) to highlight freshness and complexity. This 50cl bottle makes an ideal companion for tarte tatin, almond tart, crème caramel or a board of mature cheeses. Once opened, the wine will keep in fine condition for several weeks if stored upright in a cool environment. Store unopened bottles on their side, in a cool, dark space away from heat and light.

    Tasting Notes: The 2008 Port from Palmer has a light oak colour. Much elegance on the nose with orange peel, walnuts, figs and a touch of honey. On the palate, there is a lightness that is balanced by good acidity. This port wine delivers a beautiful flavour supported by a long, long finish. Outstanding.

    Colheita Port Storage and Serving Advice:
    Colheita Port should be stored in a cool and dry place, sheltered from light and temperature fluctuations, and the bottle should remain in an upright position. If stored correctly, Colheita Ports will keep for decades in the bottle. Over time, it is natural that a little sediment will form at the bottom of a bottle of Colheita Port wine. Once opened colheita Port should be stored in a fridge and should be consumed within 3 months. Best served at a temperature between 14 and 16°C.
