This 80 Year Old Tawny Port is an exquisite and rare port, representing the pinnacle of aged tawny port. Produced by Quinta das Carvalhas, one of the most prestigious estates in the Douro Valley, this port is known for its remarkable complexity, depth, and refinement.
Tasting Notes
With a deep amber colour and greenish hues, the aroma is intense and remarkably complex, with notes of dried fruits, candied orange, spices, exotic wood and a hint of varnish. On the palate, it is generous and silky, with a profound sweetness perfectly balanced by a vibrant acidity. Despite its great concentration and a long persistent finish, this Port stands out for its elegance.
Serving & Food Pairing:
Tawny Ports are ready-to drink and do not require decanting. Best enjoyed slightly chilled at 12-13ºC they will work wonders if pairing with treacle tart, crème brulee or nut based desserts, like hazelnut praline.
