1976 Rivesaltes – 50 Year Old Vintage Wine
Produced in the Roussillon region of southern France, this Vin Doux Naturel has matured slowly for half a century, developing the deep amber colour and remarkable complexity that only long ageing can create.

An excellent alternative to aged Tawny Port
Like Tawny Port, Rivesaltes ages oxidatively in oak casks, gradually concentrating its flavours and developing notes of dried fruits, caramel, nuts and spice. After 50 years of maturation the wine is beautifully balanced, rich and intensely aromatic.

Tasting Notes
Deep amber in colour with aromas of orange peel, dried figs, roasted almonds and caramel. The palate is smooth and complex with flavours of dates, walnuts and honeyed citrus leading to a long warming finish.
