40 Year Old Tawny Port - in Taylor's Gift Pack with two Spieglau Glasses
Bottle size: 75cl

An incredible example of an old Tawny port. A rarity, as few houses will make a 40 year old tawny. This wine is olive gold in colour with rich caramel, butterscotch and hazelnut flavours. The concentration in this port also produces a wine with amazing length, which lingers beautifully on the palate.
This beautiful Tawny port has been aged in oak casks for an average age of 40 years. During their long maturation they become tawny in colour and concentrated in their aromas. This port has very intense and elegant flavours which combine to give a smooth, fine finish.
Press: 'It is my opinion that Taylor's tawny ports are the best of this type. When tasted against other tawnies, they all exhibit more aromatic personalities, greater fruit ripeness and a wonderful sweetness and length' - Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate
Excellent. Please note that the label states "40 years old" and does not include a specific vintage year.
