Palmer White Port 2016 (Douro, Portugal)

The 2016 Palmer shows a bright deep-gold colour and an inviting, fruit-forward nose of orange blossom, lemon peel and white peach, layered with acacia honey, vanilla pod and blanched almond. It’s medium-sweet yet lively on the palate: ripe pear and apricot sit over a spine of mouth-watering acidity, while gentle time in old oak brings nougat and subtle baking spice. A discreet saline snap keeps the finish precise and long, tapering with orange zest, almond cream and a light cedar echo.

Serve well-chilled (10–12 °C) in a white-wine glass. It’s excellent as an aperitif and shines in a Portonic (equal parts Palmer White Port and good tonic over ice, citrus twist).

10 Year Old White Port
90 Points - Robert Parker

Aged White Port is one of Quevedo’s pride. This White Port, rated as outstanding by Wine Advocate, was crafted by blending a selection of Quevedo’s best aged Ports averaging 10 years.

On the palate there is a lovely balance between the fruits, sweetness and acidity. The wine develops on layers of flavours between the candied and dried fruits, the acidity combines with some bitter notes due to the slow oxidation in cask to bring nerve to the wine before leaving us on a beautiful complex finish lingering on spicy notes.
