Description

This 1984 Vintage Port from Messias is an ideal gift for a 40th Birtday or Anniversary. These bottles have an excellent provenace having been shipped to us directly from the Messias cellars in Porto. Drinking beautifully, the Messias 1984 has a light red colour. Liquor, wild raspberry and cinnamon on the nose. Mature, lovely and easy to drink with a nice finish.

Serving Tips & Storage When mature this port will need to be decanted to remove sediment. Serve at room temperature on its own or with steak and blue cheese sauce or vintage mature blue cheeses such as stilton Cashel Blue, Roquefort, Gorgonzola and Saint Augur Blue. Vintage port is also good with chocolate - a flattering accompaniment to top quality hand-made chocolates and artisan chocolate bars. Please store on its side in a cool dark space away from heat and light. Drink from Now-2030+.

Caves Messias was founded in 1926 by Mr. Messias Baptista, who served as chairman until 1973. The management is still held by the descendants of Messias family. Since its foundation, Messias has been producing and selling high quality wines from the main demarcated regions: Bairrada, Douro, Dão, Vinho Verde, Beiras and Vinho do Porto. The company is also known for the high quality of its Champagne method Sparkling wines and aged Brandies.
