A 2012 Roccolo Grassi red wine.

Marco Sartori is a driven young man. In a few short years he has gone from making his first vintage to one of the hottest new talents in the region. All the wines produced by this modern new winery are world class. Marco's philosophy is very simple, reduce the yields in the vineyard to 1Kg per vine and you obtain fabulous fruit concentration.

Tasting Notes:
Luscious, smooth, mouth-filing wine that is everything and more that we've come to expect and love in Amarone. Oodles of violets on the nose. Tight structure from the strong but not over-bearing tannins, lots of acidity with lovely warmth as it goes down your throat revealing the 17% abv! But it's not too hot for all of that. Dark, chocolate notes with strong black fruits perhaps.mote black cherry than blackberry. Love it. Absolutely stunning, five stars or 95% from me and am now tasting and matching with local dark chocolate and bitter berry chocolate bar. Amazing!

Serving Suggestion:
Ideal with strong cheese like Roquefort and Parmigiano or with red meat dishes
