Barbaresco DOCG 1987 Giacosa Donato is a mature red wine from Piedmont, Italy, produced in the traditional style of the Langhe region. This bottling represents a classic expression of Nebbiolo from the late 1980s, crafted for long aging and elegant bottle evolution over decades.

Tasting Notes:
Brick-garnet color with orange and amber reflections. Aromas of dried rose petals, cherry, leather, tobacco, tar, licorice, and forest floor, with delicate balsamic, earthy, and spice nuances.
Elegant and mature palate with softened tannins, vibrant acidity, and layered tertiary complexity. Long, refined finish with notes of dried herbs, smoke, and aged spice.

Serving & Food Pairing:
Serve at 16–18°C, with gentle decanting only if necessary to remove sediment.

Pairs well with braised meats, game, truffle dishes, porcini mushrooms, risotto, tajarin pasta, and aged cheeses.
