Description
Barbaresco DOCG 1993 Carlo Giacosa Narin is a mature red wine from Piedmont, Italy, produced from Nebbiolo grapes in the Barbaresco area of the Langhe region. This bottling represents a traditional expression of Barbaresco from the early 1990s, crafted for long aging and elegant bottle evolution over time.
Tasting Notes:
Brick-garnet color with orange reflections. Aromas of dried rose petals, cherry, leather, tobacco, tar, licorice, and forest floor, with delicate balsamic, earthy, and spice nuances.
Elegant and mature palate with softened tannins, balanced acidity, and layered tertiary complexity. Long, refined finish with notes of dried herbs, smoke, and aged spice.
Serving & Food Pairing:
Serve at 16–18°C, with gentle decanting if necessary to remove sediment.
Pairs well with braised meats, game, truffle dishes, porcini mushrooms, risotto, tajarin pasta, and aged cheeses.
Producer:
Carlo Giacosa is a traditional winery in the Barbaresco area, known for producing classic Nebbiolo-based wines focused on elegance, structure, and long bottle aging in the Langhe region.
