Barbera DOC 2001 S. Orsola is a red wine from Piedmont, Italy, produced by S. Orsola, a winery dedicated to expressing the vibrant character and elegance of Barbera grapes. The 2001 vintage demonstrates Barbera’s hallmark freshness, lively acidity, and well-rounded fruit, complemented by subtle development from early bottle aging.

Tasting Notes:
The wine shows a deep ruby-red color with garnet hints along the rim. The bouquet is expressive and layered, offering aromas of red cherries, plums, and wild berries, accompanied by delicate tertiary notes of leather, soft spices, and gentle earthy undertones. With light aeration, subtle balsamic and mineral nuances emerge, enhancing complexity and depth.

On the palate, it is medium-bodied with smooth, integrated tannins and bright, balanced acidity. The finish is long and elegant, highlighting dried red fruits, gentle spice, and soft earthy notes, reflecting both careful maturation and the expressive character of Piedmont Barbera.
