Barbera del Monferrato DOC 2001 Terre del Barbera is a red wine from the Monferrato region, Piedmont, Italy, produced by Terre del Barbera, a winery dedicated to expressing the distinctive character of Barbera from this historic terroir. The 2001 vintage exemplifies the lively acidity, vibrant fruit, and balanced structure that define Barbera del Monferrato, while also showing subtle refinement gained through early bottle maturation.

Tasting Notes:
The wine presents a deep ruby-red color with garnet highlights. The bouquet is inviting and layered, offering aromas of red cherries, plums, and hints of wild berries, complemented by gentle tertiary notes of leather, tobacco, soft spice, and earthy undertones. With slight aeration, subtle mineral and balsamic nuances emerge, enhancing depth and complexity.

On the palate, it is medium-bodied with smooth, well-integrated tannins and bright, balanced acidity. The finish is long and elegant, highlighting dried red fruits, gentle spices, and earthy undertones, reflecting both the care in winemaking and the expressive character of Monferrato Barbera.
