Description
This mature Barolo shows a deep garnet hue with pronounced brick-orange edges. The bouquet is complex and tertiary, offering dried rose, tar, leather, and forest floor alongside notes of dried cherry, tobacco, and balsamic spice. On the palate it is medium to full-bodied, with softened but still present tannins, carrying flavours of stewed red fruit, liquorice, truffle, and a hint of cedar. The finish is long, savoury, and harmonious, reflecting the classic evolution of aged Nebbiolo from a warm vintage.
Decanting: Stand upright for 2–3 days to allow sediment to settle. Decant gently through a fine strainer and allow 1–2 hours of air before serving at 16–18°C. Old corks are often delicate—filter any fragments when pouring.
