    Massolino, 2019 Barolo

A classic, finely balanced Barolo from one of Piedmont’s most respected traditional producers, the 2019 Barolo from Massolino showcases Nebbiolo purity and structure in an outstanding vintage.

    Tasting Note
The nose is expressive and layered, offering ripe red cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry, complemented by lifted notes of rose petal, dried herbs, liquorice and subtle spice. On the palate, the wine is elegant yet firmly structured, with vibrant acidity carrying flavours of crimson fruit, orange peel and earthy minerality. Fine, polished tannins provide shape and persistence, leading to a long, savoury and well-balanced finish.

    Food Pairing
Excellent with braised beef, lamb, mushroom and truffle dishes, rich pasta sauces and aged hard cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano or Castelmagno.

    Serving & Cellaring
Serve at 16–18°C. Decant for 1–2 hours before drinking. Drinking well now with air, and will cellar confidently for 15–20 years.

    Why We Love It
Massolino’s Barolo delivers everything we look for in a classic example — elegance, structure and authenticity. A superb introduction to traditional Barolo and a wine that rewards patience.

In the light cream-colored label, the 2019 Barolo is elegant and contained, showing a very focused and linear style that makes a great impression and awakens the senses. There is wild cherry, blue flower and crushes stone backed by balanced freshness and tannins. The wine ages in large Slavonian oak casks for 30 months, and 85,000 bottles were released.
