Château Climens 2006, Barsac 1er Cru Classé (37.5cl Half Bottle)

The 2006 Château Climens is a beautifully poised and elegant Barsac, showcasing the purity and finesse for which this First Growth estate is renowned. In half bottle format, it offers a perfect opportunity to enjoy a mature Sauternes-style wine at its peak.

The nose is refined and expressive, with aromas of honey, apricot and candied citrus peel, complemented by delicate floral notes and a subtle hint of vanilla. There is a remarkable freshness to the aromatics, balancing the richness of the fruit.

On the palate, the wine is luscious yet precise, with a vibrant acidity that lifts the sweetness and gives the wine exceptional balance. Flavours of ripe stone fruit, marmalade and honeyed citrus are layered with a fine mineral edge, typical of Barsac.
