The 2005 Corbin Michotte is immediately delicious with its licorice, black fruit and spice combo, this is a rich wine, hedonistic almost, soft in structure. There is no further aging needed here, for with its softness and super-ripeness, this needs to be drunk—and with pleasure.

Chateau Corbin Michotte is owned by Jean-Noel Boidron. It is a small estate with an area measuring 6 hectares. The grape varieties include 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. The density of plantation is 5,865 vines per hectare and the wines produced are Chateau Corbin Michotte with an annual production of 37,000 bottles
