The 2009 Château Doisy-Daëne is a radiant and beautifully expressive Barsac, showcasing the richness and purity of this outstanding Sauternes/Barsac vintage. The bouquet is generous and seductive, with aromas of apricot, peach, candied citrus and pineapple, lifted by notes of acacia honey, vanilla pod and subtle floral spice. It is vibrant yet opulent, capturing the hallmark finesse of Doisy-Daëne.

On the palate, the 2009 is luxurious and beautifully balanced. Layers of ripe stone fruit, orange marmalade and crystallised lemon are supported by a spine of lively acidity that gives the wine freshness and definition. The sweetness is rich but never heavy, carried effortlessly by Barsac’s signature minerality and clarity of fruit.

As it unfolds, deeper nuances begin to appear—hints of saffron, ginger, toasted almond and warm pastry broaden the wine’s texture and complexity. The vineyard spans approximately 18 hectares, predominantly planted with Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscadelle.
