Long famous for the quality of its wines, Chateau Fonreaud is a prestigious Cru Bourgeois Superieur located in the commune of Listrac-Medoc. The vineyard is in a marvelous location on the highest elevation in the Medoc. The perfect combination of grape varieties grown on a diversity of soils expresses itself with style and distinction in the wine.
Chateau Fonreaud is round, full-bodied and smooth, with very ripe tannin. It spreads out deliciously on the palate and has an excellent structure. The vat room has numerous small temperature-controlled vats which make it possible to fine-tune winemaking in order to bring out the nuances of each vineyard plot. The wine is barrel-aged before being bottled at the chateau. The elegance and charm of this great wine reflect the spirit of the Chanfreau family.
