Description

This mature Dolcetto presents a quietly elegant expression shaped by long bottle age. The bouquet is delicate yet complex, opening with dried cherry, fig skin, and stewed plum, followed by tertiary notes of leather, walnut shell, forest floor, and dried herbs. Subtle oxidative nuances suggest almond skin, balsamic, and old wood.

On the palate, the wine is light to medium-bodied, with fruit fully evolved into the dried spectrum—sour cherry, prune, and cranberry. The structure is gentle, with tannins fully resolved and acidity softened but still providing balance.

Savory elements dominate the mid-palate, revealing tobacco, mushroom, and earthy undertones that speak to its Piedmontese origins. A faint bitterness, characteristic of Dolcetto, adds definition and depth rather than weight.

The finish is modest yet harmonious, lingering with nutty, earthy tones and a sense of calm maturity. This is a contemplative wine, valued not for intensity but for its expression of time, tradition, and the rustic soul of Piedmont.
