The Mackenzie 1963 Vintage Port has an excellent provenance - removed from a damp cellar which has degraded the labels. We will send the bottles out with plan labels unless requested otherwise.
Tasting note (courtesy of the Port Forum). Mid-red with a copper edge; 40% opaque, Smelly nose, not attractive and showing considerable heat. Thick in texture with rich chocolate tannins supporting a sweet and concentrated red jelly bean flavour giving a lovely palate presence. The jelly bean comes through on the aftertaste and leads to an attractive length finish that is full of sharp dried cranberries. 88/100.
