This 50 year old wine makes a wonderul gift for someone celebrating their 50th Birthday or anniversary.
Fratelli Serio e Batista Borgogno is a historic winery located in Barolo, within the Piedmont region of Italy. Established in the late 19th century, the winery is renowned for its production of Barolo wines, made from the Nebbiolo grape.
The Nebbiolo has a lovely earthy bouquet. The nose has dark cherries, tar and slight dried rose notes. Complex and layered. Nice acidity. Medium tannins still present. Cherries on the palate too. Nice finish. Great food wine.
