Tasting Notes:
Deep mahogany-tawny with golden highlights at the rim. The bouquet is richly evolved, with aromas of dried figs, dates, toasted walnuts, caramelised orange peel, coffee and warm spice. The palate is smooth and layered, showing flavours of toffee, raisin, almond and molasses in perfect harmony. Balanced by refreshing acidity, it retains vibrancy alongside its maturity. The finish is exceptionally long, nutty and complex, with lingering notes of dried fruits and fine oak.
Serving Tips & Storage
Colheita Ports are bottled ready to drink and require no decanting. Best served slightly chilled (12–14°C) to highlight aromatic freshness and complexity. This 1968 Colheita pairs superbly with roasted nuts, treacle tart, crème brûlée or mature cheeses. Once opened, the wine will remain in excellent condition for several weeks if stored upright in a cool place. Store unopened bottles on their side, in a cool, dark environment away from heat and light.

Specialising in Colheitas, Tawnies and Aged Ports, Palmer sources its grapes from the Douro Valley’s schistous vineyards, crafting expressive, authentic wines that combine heritage with elegance.
