IWC Calem Offer
Our wine buyer has put together a fabulous selection of ports to celebrate winning the 2021 IWC Fortified Retailer of the Year Award.
We take pride in visiting and working with small producers to import outstanding ports so that we can offer them at great prices. This selection of Ports is an expression of that philosophy and features four producers that we have been working with over the last 12 months.
Quevedo 2015 LBV.
Oscar Quevedo has given VWP some great support over the last 18months through his series of online tastings and innovative products. The Quevedo Late Bottled Vintage has won many awards and we are delighted to offer it as part of our selection.
Palmer 20 Year Old Tawny
We wanted to offer and aged tawny, In our opinion a 20 year tawny is the perfect balance point between the fruity youthfulness of a 10 and the maturity of a 40. VWP started to import the Palmer brand three years ago as they have one of the biggest reservoirs of tawny ports. Palmer is now one of our most popular sellers and the 20 is one of our best sellers.
Quinta de La Rosa 2009 Colheita Port
Located on the bank of the Douro river in Pinhao, Quinta de la Rosa is one of our favourite properties, having a grade-A vineyard, a top hotel and a fine dining restaurant. Sophia Berquist the owner, has gradually built up its reputation through consistently producing good port and wines. The 2009 is a new release colhieta, young, vibrant and fresh. Serve chilled as a great summer aperitif.
Calem 1985 Vintage Port
We had to include a Vintage Port - it's in our name! We wanted to include a fully mature VP from a classic year and we are delighted to include the Calem 1985. The Calem 85 is in a good place - nicely mature and a great starting point if you want to get into Vintage Port.
