Description

A very limited quantity of Devesa Vintage Port was produced with the best grapes of the 2018 harvest. Bottled 2 years after the harvest, the Vintage Port will keep developing inside the bottle and your patience will be rewarded after a few decades.

The 2019 Vintage Port is a blend of 40% Touriga Nacional, 25% Touriga Franca and 10% Tinta Roriz, with 25% from old vines (80+ years), all aged in old balseiros (large upright barrels) for 18 months. It was bottled in May 2021, with 112 grams of residual sugar. Sexy and sensual thanks to its velvety texture, this has classic Port flavors, but it does lean a little to the soft side. With 75 minutes of decanting into a glass, it drinks decently. The fruit and flavor are gorgeous, but the structure is not quite as impressive. Still, overall, a lot of folks will find this to be a pretty Porto with a lot to offer. You can probably approach this young, but it will hold decently too. There were 3,000 bottles produced.
