    Villargeil Rivesaltes VDN

    Produced in the sun-drenched vineyards of Roussillon in southern France, Villargeil Rivesaltes is a traditional Vin Doux Naturel, where fermentation is arrested by the addition of spirit to preserve the wine’s natural sweetness. Extended ageing in cask allows the wine to develop depth and gentle oxidative complexity, while retaining balance and freshness.

    Tasting Notes:
    Rich amber in colour with copper highlights, the nose offers inviting aromas of dried apricot, sultana and orange peel, layered with notes of toasted almond, caramel and soft baking spice. On the palate it is smooth and rounded, with flavours of candied citrus, fig and honeyed nuts unfolding gradually. A refreshing lift of acidity balances the sweetness, leading to a warm, persistent finish with lingering notes of toffee and dried fruit.

    Serving & Food Pairing:
    Serve lightly chilled to enhance freshness and aromatic clarity. An excellent partner to fruit tarts, crème brûlée, blue cheeses or pâté, and equally satisfying enjoyed slowly on its own.
