The 1999 Montevertine Le Pergole Torte is a magnificent example of pure, old-school Sangioveto craftsmanship from one of Tuscany’s most revered estates. In the glass, the wine shows a mature garnet colour with a luminous, brick-tinged rim. The aromas are wonderfully evolved yet still vibrant, offering layers of sour cherry, dried rose, soft tobacco, cedar and warm terracotta. Subtle herbal and earthy notes weave through the bouquet, reflecting both age and impeccable winemaking.
