Taylor's Sentinels Vintage Port 2024 takes its name from the historic stone sentinels that overlook the terraced vineyards of the Pinhão Valley, standing watch over some of the Douro's finest vineyard sites. Produced from a carefully selected blend of wines from these exceptional locations, it reflects both the character of the vintage and Taylor's longstanding commitment to quality.

The 2024 growing season delivered fruit of remarkable balance and purity. Warm, dry conditions through the summer encouraged excellent ripening, while cooler periods helped preserve freshness and aromatic intensity. The resulting wines showed impressive colour, concentration and structure from an early stage.

On the nose, Sentinels 2024 reveals intense aromas of blackberry, cassis and black plum, layered with wild herbs, violets and subtle hints of spice. As the wine opens, additional notes of dark chocolate and liquorice emerge, adding complexity and depth.

The palate is rich and powerful, with dense dark fruit supported by firm yet polished tannins. A vibrant thread of acidity provides energy and definition, carrying the wine through to a long, focused finish. The balance between fruit, structure and freshness is particularly impressive.
